1/1  Travelling through my head

Travelling through my head

In a certain sense, each composition is a discovery journey along the reactions of my brain to a cluster of impulses. In an associative way, those impulses trigger a whole repertory of memories, rehearsed knowledge, acquired influences and so on. Now that I can look back, I really see this album as a journey through my head, because that's where I locate the effect of those impulses.

An album

Just like photos are collected in an album after a journey, this collection of musical work also deserves a nice place in an album. With some pride I hope to share this album with you, dear reader (and hopefully soon also listener). I have chosen to do so via Bandcamp.com. [ LINK to album ]

Electroacoustic and Spatial

The spatial component has been important in my compositions from the start. Not only the place in the space or the displacement in it, but also the parallel reproduction of several sound sources are important. As a result, the sound information reaches the ear in a much more transparent way. This is also the reason why I have made an effort to put this experience more or less into binaural remixes. Those who simply listen through loudspeakers will experience a stereo sound. Those with good headphones, however, will find themselves in the middle of the sound. Compare it to the privileged listening position of a conductor who can hear the sound coming from all sides, half surrounded by an orchestra. This is an experience that the listeners in the hall have no idea about. But thanks to the binaural reproduction you can come a long way through headphones to the real experience.

I wish you a lot of listening pleasure. For more explanation about the compositions you can visit the webpages at the bottom of this text.
